Blackhill & Consett Park is located in the Blackhill conservation area, it was laid out on reclaimed land by the Consett Iron Company and gifted to the community in 1891. The park adorns the hillside with rolling expanses of cultivated lawns, decorative borders and beds interspersed with woodland areas providing a picturesque link between Consett and Blackhill. Annfield Plain Park: is nestled in the centre of Annfield Plain. It was built in 1920 by the miners in the area and stands as a testament to the hard work and community spirit of the region. Park Facilities include: bowls club, tennis courts, football pitch with changing rooms, children's play area, games area, sensory garden, picnic tables, and car park. View Lane Park Stanley is a former quarry site converted into a public park in the 1920s. The park was refurbished in 2010 and now offers woodland walks, a friends garden, timber and stone sculptures, and disabled car parking.
